Polykem CPHI & PMEC China 2026: Post-Exhibition Review and Customer Feedback

CPHI & PMEC China 2026 concluded in Shanghai on June 21. Polykem exhibited at Booth E17B36 over three days, meeting buyers and industry contacts from pharmaceutical, personal care, fine chemical and industrial sectors across multiple export markets.

Conversations at the Booth

The visitors who stopped by the Polykem booth came with different backgrounds and sourcing needs. Some were looking for specific surfactant grades for cleaning or textile formulations. Others were focused on pharmaceutical excipients — particularly Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) grades, TWEEN series and Polypropylene Glycol (PPG) — and had detailed questions about pharmacopoeia standards, batch documentation and shipment arrangements.

A number of visitors were interested in amine products including Monoethanolamine (MEA), Diethanolamine (DEA) and Ethylenediamine (EDA) for use in pharmaceutical intermediates, resin systems and industrial applications. For rubber latex products, conversations were more technical, with customers asking about application suitability and processing performance for medical-related end products.

One pattern that came up repeatedly: buyers were not just comparing products in isolation. Many were evaluating whether a single supplier could cover multiple chemical categories — surfactants, glycols, amines or specialty chemicals — to simplify their sourcing process. Polykem's broader product portfolio made these conversations practical rather than theoretical.

What This Exhibition Told Us

For buyers in pharmaceutical and fine chemical sectors, documentation and grade confirmation tend to come before price discussion. Whether a product carries USP or EP grade designation, whether REACH documentation is available, and whether samples can be arranged before bulk orders — these were the questions that determined whether a conversation moved forward.

For industrial formulation buyers, the focus was more practical: active content, cloud point, packaging options and whether the supplier could maintain consistent supply for repeat orders.
